This week, our Earth profile is the Alliance for International Reforestation!

The Alliance for International Reforestation, or AIR, is a non-profit organization that plants trees, provides environmental education, and builds fuel efficient structures for people in Guatemala and Nicaragua. Since 1993, AIR has trained over 2,000 farmers, constructed over 750 fuel-efficient brick stoves, provided 18 high school scholarships to rural teenagers, established hundreds of tree nurseries and planted over 3.8 million trees. The group was featured as a CNN Hero in 2011 and was also the winner of the J. Sterling Morton Award from the Natonal Arbor Day Foundation.

Check out more of the work that AIR is doing by going to their website and asking that they create a profile on our site!
