The recent quakes and tsunamis in Japan have caused widespread destruction. The devastation has left thousands of survivors homeless and citizens world-wide wondering “how can I help”?
Over the course of the next two months we will be engaging in an effort we’re calling “1,000 Prayers for Japan”. We will be selling 1,000 t-shirts (or “prayers”) with 100% of the proceeds going to 2 charities; Nagagutsu.org, to provide gloves and boots to recovery workers and UKC Japan, to provide rescue and care to the many abandoned and orphaned animals affected.
Five t-shirt designs will be featured. Three will be designed by artist recruited by our partner in this project and two will be the result of projects held within the ever-expanding Love and Water community. We ask for everyone’s help and support for this special project. Please tell everyone and anyone you know, submit designs, vote for designs and buy a t-shirt or four to spread the word about 1,000 Prayers for Japan and Wearable Philanthropy.
More information and an official project page will be up on Monday so stay tuned for news and updates about this inspiring new project!
