Maxime Francout, aka Max F.,  has a number of qualities we love in an artist: versatility, talent and playfulness.  The combination of these three allow his work to reach many different audiences in many different ways (his wallpaper design is an example of this ingenuity).  Maxime lives and works in Montreal, loves fine art, design, drawn topography and illustration.  Some of his clients include Urban Outfitters and Wad Magazine.  His own playful illustrations picked got him the Salomon Snowboard Award for “Graphic Artist of 2008.”  No surprise to us!!  Here is what Max had to say about a few of his delightfully diverse pieces:

T-shirt design for Threadless.com about holidays.

Illustrations for an article on growing vegetables locally, allotments, and guerilla gardening for Amelia’s magazine.
Wallpaper made for Studio Nommo.  I lived in Vancouver for three years and I love the meeting between the city and nature in this part of Canada.   It comes up a lot in my drawings.
A personal illustration.

My contribution to the French magazine, Graisse Animal volume 4.
